This stunning girl is Estrella. Rescued from the campo with her 9 four-week-old puppies, she had been the best Mum in the world providing for her little ones, she gave everything of herself to keep them all alive and take good care of them. When they arrived, they were all covered with ticks and fleas. Poor Estrella was in such a poor condition yet her puppies were and are healthy bouncing babies. She was such a star mum hence the name Estrella. We immediately started her on the best food for her and her babies, treated their fleas and ticks, took bloods for testing and started her on the road to recovery. She had a few infections that needed treatment with anti-biotics but because she was still feeding her babies, we had to wait a couple more week to start her treatment.
We had to make the decision to separate her from the puppies at 6 weeks in order for Estrella to recover from her ordeal. Her puppies were thriving and healthy and now on solid food. Over the next few weeks, we concentrated on making Estrella well. Just look at her now! She is the picture of health.
Estrella is the sweetest girl; she has such a kind and gentle nature. Because she lived on her own in the campo for goodness only knows how long, she is now very shy and nervous of new people, it takes her a little time to trust. However, once she trusts, she loves you with all her heart. Estrella will make the most loyal and loving companion. Estrella needs a loving home that is calm, with people who are willing to give her the space and time she needs to become best dog in the world. Whoever adopts this beautiful girl will be the luckiest of people.
